In the Beginning!

Let's face it, day to day we all question what we are putting into our bodies, but if you put it down in writing it becomes a living part of our daily routine (and lives). I will be the first to admit that accountability will help me think about what I ingest. I want to wake up in the morning with purpose and feel good throughout the day. This means (all of) my clothes will fit, I will not turn to spandex waistbands and loose fitting clothes, and I will feel confident when I go out everyday!

I am going to state my goals here, I want to be more energetic simply because I am healthy and feeding my body correctly. Truly, the bottom line is I want my body to perform at its best because I am taking better care of it. I would like to be a role model and increase my muscle mass with lifting and lose the 8 +++ pounds. (OK, I know you are reading this and thinking, she just want to fit into her jeans...) for whatever reason you want to be healthy and jump on this bandwagon, JUST DO IT!!!

Most importantly, let's DO this together! State your goal and share your daily habits ;-). I truly believe that together we will be able to support each other and achieve our fitness and weight loss goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is the day to just say, "LET'S DO IT." Which is so much nicer than just doing it yourself! Let's do this and pull from each others strengths and weaknesses. YUP! Bring it!!!!!!!!
JUNE 1st == What do you want to call it:
Cocktails and Carrot Sticks
Beverages and Bikinis
Lemon Drops and Bikini Tops
Drop The Muffin tops
Lemon Drops and Muffin Tops

Lemme Know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You go girl!!! I have no intention of forsaking my beloved vino (not mommajuice in my case), but I am fired up to stick to a workout schedule. Did a good run today, but I still need to put my training schedule down for Chicago 26.2. 4 months isn't a lot of time. Very proud of you and ready to offer lots of suppport!

So glad you're doing this--what a great idea! My plan is to keep coming to class and write down what I eat. That accountability will help!! Somehow I've fallen off the bandwagon recently in terms of my commitment, but this blog will help, I'm sure. BTW, I vote for Drop the Muffin tops for June.

Allison, you're awesome!! See you in class!!

Great plan and idea, Allison!!

I've been slacking, too, but I'm re-committing to working out and lifting this summer. And I may as well throw in "food containment" while I'm at it, LOL.

I already signed up for 3 sessions per month with a trainer, just to keep my workouts mixed up and keep my pushing.

And PS - you already ARE my role model and have been so for many years! :)

Yes! I like the idea of food containment. I went to the field today and had a bit of popcorn. Matthew got the pizza sticks, but I was able to stick to my guns! Finished the salad I started last night. Is it really only Wednesday????!!!!
